      For Love or Money

I'm not in the habit of watching those reality shows that are so popular. But I have paused a few times while channel surfing - long enough to see someone being covered with earthworms or someone else trying to drive a car from a moving flatbed truck onto an attached trailer.

Now I'm not endorsing these shows and do not intend to set my VCR to catch the latest episodes. But one show that caused me to pause a little longer was For Love or Money (1 and 2). The premise of the show was to see if a person would choose love over money. We caught the last 10 minutes of the first series when Erin picked the money and left Rob with nothing. Then she was given the chance to double her money by returning to the second series. We watched bits and pieces of a few of the episodes and about half of the final show.

It was a hard choice; but in the end love won out when both Erin and Chad made the decision to take a chance on love instead of money. They did end up with the money too. But that was not a given when they made their decision to go for love. Only time will tell if this is truly a Happily Ever After Story.

      The Greatest Love Story

Everyone loves a good love story. Many books and movies have portrayed true love and left even the toughest with moist eyes or a lump in the throat. Fairytale endings and Hollywood finishes aren't guaranteed. But true love is a priceless treasure when found.

One love story is greater than any other. It is the story of an everlasting love. Of one who gave up everything for love. It was one-sided and undeserved, with little or no response to the love expressed. Learn more about the greatest love story ever told.

      Check It Out

I would like to recommend a book that I just finished. Blessed Child by Ted Dekker and Bill Bright is a fast-paced novel, filled with suspense, mystery, and drama. And at the heart of it is a love story that will touch your very soul. Find a copy at a local book store or check it out online.

Also available and equally thrilling is the sequel A Man Called Blessed.
