      Which Way

While traveling, a man came to a fork in the road. Unsure of which way to go, he shouted to a farmer who was working in a nearby field. "Hey, old-timer! I'm heading to Brownsville. Does it make any difference which road I take?" The old man answered, "Not to me, it don't."

Sometimes I feel like the traveler. I'm going down the road of life. I think I know where I'm headed. But then I come to a fork in the road . . . or sometimes a dead-end. I'm trying to figure out which way to go and no one seems to care.

But all to often, I find myself in the shoes of the farmer. I'm busy doing my own thing. I don't have time to deal with your problem. It makes no difference to me.

      Not the Destination

It's been said that life's a journey, not a destination and that it's not the destination that makes the journey worthwhile. In truth, we do make a difference to each other . . . or at least we should. When was the last time you paused on your journey long enough to help someone traveling down the same road?

Learn more about man's ultimate destination.
