Travel Through Time
Traveling through time has intrigued man for centuries. Some of
my favorite TV series have explored the possibility. They were
the typical sci-fi type shows with the predictable plot. A time
machine is invented. A time traveler journeys back to a previous
era. While there, he faces the choice of preventing a major
incident in history or allowing time to continue unchanged.
Making Changes
Where would you go if you could travel back to a previous time in
history? What would you change if you could? Hitler? Vietnam War?
September 11? The possibilities are endless. Maybe a cure for a
disease could be found earlier and millions of people would be saved.
Maybe a war could be avoided. Maybe an assassination could be
prevented. Maybe your favorite team could score those last second
points. Maybe you could get that parking space first. Maybe that
hammer would miss your thumb this time.
Well, it's fun to imagine, but we all know you can't change the past.
Yet, we often choose to re-live the past over and over again. We
can't live in the past and we can't predict the future. But we do
help create the future by the type of life we live. The best time
to change the future is in the present. There was one event in
history that brought about changes that no other event could.
It was the one most important events ever.
